Fabio Thiers, MD, PhD

CEO

Providing visibility to the world's clinical research infrastructure not only requires the leadership of an interdisciplinary global team but, most importantly, the ability to turn complex data into simple analytics. Dr. Thiers is the leader and analytics designer enabling ViS to fulfill this vision.

Trained as an MD in Brazil, Dr. Thiers earned a PhD and Masters in biomedical enterprise management from the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences & Technology. He has a track record of leading teams in the generation of analytics to uncover important patterns. While at Harvard, he devised novel analytical frameworks to disclose a pivotal structure in the human ear. At MIT, he led the creation of the first clinical research globalization map, published in Nature Reviews.

Dr. Thiers' interdisciplinary training and international perspective have enabled him to build ViS' global team of medical researchers, programmers, trial planners, statisticians, and designers, making it possible to tackle a major global problem with simple and effective solutions.

Gustavo Kesselring

Gustavo Kesselring, MD

Head of Center Engagement & Executive Director (ViS Latin America)

ViS aims to solve the day-to-day issues of research centers. Dr. Kesselring deeply understands such issues as a professional engaged in international clinical research for the last 27 years. He has led teams in pharmaceutical companies, CROs and research centers.

Dr. Kesselring is an international advocate for research quality, performance and education. He recently received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Academy of Pharmaceutical Physicians and Investigators and serves on the World's Medical Association's committee engaged in the revision of the Declaration of Helsinki. Henrique Martins

Henrique Martins

Head of Intelligence Management

Our vision is to enable access to a complete map of clinical research infrastructure. We needed to access all pivotal features of such an enormous map promptly, even before thinking about its size. Henrique took on this daunting challenge in the early days of ViS. The results quickly became visible.

Henrique is highly qualified for this challenge. He had developed several collaborative content delivery systems over his 13 years of experience. His projects were conducted in Brazil, the USA, Singapore and Canada, including the development of clinical research tools for Duke University, which led to several publications. He is a computer scientist and software engineer, with expertise in database management, enterprise application integration and object-oriented programming.

Henrique's focus has been on ViS' scalability, reliability and speed in the delivery of clinical research analytics. He gathers intelligence from various sources, generates analytics, and feeds our visualizations, which in turn elicit patterns, insights, and opportunities for our users.
